Seriously Sad

Mazee has had a messy face many times, but this one is significant, being the first time she's been sick. We're lucky to have made it all the way to 10 months without any problems. She kept rubbing her nose and eyes while she was eating dinner and this was the end result. So sad. Glad to be done with that!

We had family pictures with the whole extended Gunnell family. Mazee was the smallest and had no incentive to look at the camera, so hopefully they turn out okay. These are a few I snapped with my own camera.

Jake reads this....

For those of you who don't know who Dave Ramsey is, don't tell Jake that. He is obsessed with him and will go into an hour long explanation. He has a radio talk show all about finances and how to get out of debt and blah, blah, blah. Dave has Jake convinced that we can have ZERO debt in like 3 years (yeah right!? House and car!?!) or something if "we live like no one else now, we can LIVE like no one else later!" Yes, thank you Dave Ramsey, you've got my husband wanting to live like a poor, dirty scavenger so that later on in life we can LIVE like no one else. Jake's all excited for me to "jump on board" with him and Dave. We'll see.

As for Twilight, I'm excited for Jake to read the book so that when we go see the movie, he'll know exactly what's going on and I can enjoy the movie-- question free!

And for the record, Jake would never admit this, but he picks up the book any spare minute he has. He's taking some serious notes from Edward. I love it.

SICK of being SICK

Sorry for the lack of posts, we have had sickness on a rampage in our house, which hasn't happened in a long time. Mazee got sick for her first time and it hit her pretty hard. It started out as a sore throat, then progressed to wheezy breathing, then she spiked a temp, so I took her to the doctor and she had croup. They gave her a shot of steroids so that she could breathe better and it worked amazingly. But now I've got what she had and am trying to recover. I went to the Instacare last night and got some meds, so hopefully they'll start kicking in. Jake says he's starting to get a scratchy throat, but hopefully it just stops with me. Who gets severe colds in the summer??? I'm so sick of being sick! Anyway, will update soon....

American Idol

I went to the American Idol concert again this year with some of Jake's family. It was so fun and such a good concert, possibly even better than last years. Every one of the Idols were much better in person and they put on a great show!

Lake Powell

I know this is a little late, but I still wanted to post pictures of our fun trip to Lake Powell over the 4th. We had such a fun time and Mazee was such a good girl! We had a pretty good set-up for her between her floatie swimsuit, the shaded floatie, and the 50 SPF sunscreen. It couldn't have been better.

The boys love having tube wars and it can get pretty violent--bumps, bruises, and raspberries!

All in all it was a great trip with so many fun memories made!

BFF's

We had our monthly girls night on Monday, and I just have to give a shout out to my best friends! Let me just say how wonderful it is to have such great friends! Every time I'm with my friends I always leave in such a good mood, more wanting to be a better person, and more wanting to be a better friend! I can't imagine life without good friends! We have the funnest time together and laugh the WHOLE time. We go back to our immature days of high school and let loose! We've been friends for so many years now, there's no need to impress, we just pick up right where we left off the month before. I love you girls!
